NXT Gen Cup starts cooperation with R System Solutions for innovative live streaming technology

NXT Gen Cup has started a long-term cooperation with R System Solutions (RSYS) to integrate their video and data live streaming platform in all of the 100% electric LRT NXT1 race cars.

The NXT Gen Cup race cars will all be fitted with a technology package from RSYS which live streams all telemetry data, video and battery status via a combination of 4G/5G, WIFI and Starlink

"We are delighted to welcome RSYS to the NXT Gen Cup family, a cooperation which will provide our drivers and staff with a world-leading level of live insights and improved workflow,” said Fredrik Lestrup, founder of NXT Gen Cup.

"RSYS is a company with an innovative approach to managing data flows in motorsport, a perfect fit to NXT Gen Cup and our mission of creating a cutting-edge, sustainable motorsport platform for young talents.”

RSYS will enable the drivers, engineers, and mechanics of NXT Gen Cup to monitor all data and visuals live during charging, practice, qualifying and races.

This means for example that race control can get all vital information during an incident in real time, engineers can provide feedback to the drivers during sessions and mechanics can safely monitor the cars during charging sessions.

R System Solutions is a Portuguese company with headquarters and test facilities at the Circuito do Sol racetrack located in the sunny region of Alentejo just north of the Algarve coast.

"We are genuinely excited to announce our cooperation with NXT Gen Cup as we share a passion of working with the latest technology and helping young talents in motorsport," said Anders Hansson, CEO of R System Solutions.

“The cooperation provides us with a great platform to showcase how an IP based system for data distribution enables a highly efficient workflow for race management, engineering, and broadcasting while helping to create data driven junior champions.

“Making the answers available before the questions are asked is what we built the system for. We trialed our products in Spanish endurance racing, working with one team at the time. Now we will make the same information available to all drivers in NXT Gen Cup and we are very keen to see how the data we provide will enable driver development."

The 2023 NXT Gen Cup season kicks off this weekend at Falkenberg, July 8-9, the fastest circuit in Sweden, with a competitive field of young racing talents in all-electric LRT NXT1 race cars.

NXT Gen Cup will run alongside the all-electric STCC in Sweden to crown the official Swedish Junior champion in cooperation with the Swedish Motorsport Federation (SBF).
