Tershine joins 100% electric NXT Gen Cup for ground-breaking first season

Tershine has joined the NXT Gen Cup family, supplying the world’s first 100% electric junior touring car cup with innovative Swedish automotive care products.

“Tershine’s amazing journey over the past couple of years is thoroughly inspiring and we are delighted to welcome them to the NXT Gen Cup family,” said Christian Axelsson, Partners & Event Manager of NXT Gen Cup.

“The fact that their innovative products are climate smart as well as highly effective is a perfect fit for NXT Gen Cup and the high demands that we have throughout our intense racing season.”

Tershine was, just as NXT Gen Cup, founded by a group of passionate enthusiasts and has grown rapidly over the past five years.

The Swedish company has gone their own way both in terms of recipes for the Tershine products and regarding marketing, growing a massive social media following rather than traditional advertising and sales.

“Swedish racing has for many years lacked a solid junior championship with a clear plan of helping young talents to become professional racing drivers, a gap which NXT Gen Cup fills perfectly and something that we at Tershine fully support,” said Tobias Ericson, Head of Gloss at Tershine.

“We have for a long while worked with pushing the limits of future automotive care, with label-free products which are kind to the user, environment and provides an awesome result on the car. With that said, we see a lot of similarities in NXT Gen Cup’s push for electrified racing and we look forward to work closely together.”

The 2023 NXT Gen Cup season kicks off at Falkenberg on July 8-9, the fastest circuit in Sweden, with a competitive field of 18 young racing talents in all-electric LRT NXT1 race cars.
