Czech junior Filip Bartos commits to 2024 NXT Gen Cup programme

Czech junior driver Filip Bartoš has committed to a full 2024 NXT Gen Cup season as the 100% electric junior championship goes international with ABB FIA Formula E and DTM.

"It's great to be back in NXT Gen Cup and I can't wait to put all the learnings I got from my first season into action this year as we go international on so many amazing circuits and countries," said Filip Bartoš.

The 16-year-old made his NXT Gen Cup debut last year, having previously raced in karting, and finished 18th overall.

"2023 was above all a learning year for me and it was a great experience racing in such a competitive field and getting excellent feedback from the NXT Gen Cup engineers, it has really helped me develop as a driver," said Filip Bartoš.

"And now I am ready to get back on track and move further up the field, my goal is definitely to break into the top ten - I know that the capacity is there for that."

The Czech driver makes it three so far confirmed nationalities for the 2024 NXT Gen Cup season alongside Swedish drivers Enzo Hallman, Månz Thalin and Danish racer Victor Nielsen.

"It's great seeing Filip continuing his NXT Gen Cup programme, he made big steps last year despite his limited racing experience. I think he can definitely surprise this year and we look forward to continue our work with him," said NXT Gen Cup founder Fredrik Lestrup.
