Danish NXT Gen Cup front-runner Victor Nielsen confirms 2024 entry

Danish front-runner Victor Nielsen has confirmed his return to NXT Gen Cup in 2024 following a consistent 2023 season which saw him finishing seventh overall.

"I'm really glad to be back, the first season really left me with a taste for more and 2024 is looking even more exciting with the awesome calendar together with Formula E and DTM," said Victor Nielsen.

The 17-year-old left his mark on NXT Gen Cup field quickly last year by qualifying on the front row in the season opener and scored a podium finish in only his second race weekend.

"We have worked hard during the winter on the areas which I know I need to improve on. While I know the competition will be even tougher this year and there will be a lot of new tracks to learn, I feel optimistic and I aim to fight for the top," said Victor Nielsen.

The Dane marks the second nationality of the so far entered drivers alongside Swedish racers Enzo Hallman and Månz Thalin, with the 2023 season seeing eight different nationalities being represented.

"We are glad to have Victor back with us, I definitely think he is one to watch this year. He made a strong first season in NXT Gen Cup and we look forward to continue helping him, along with all other drivers in the field, to develop this year," said Fredrik Lestrup, NXT Gen Cup founder.
