Bente Boer makes anticipated return at the NXT Gen Cup season finale
With the final round of the 2025 NXT Gen Cup at Sachsenring approaching, the grid will welcome back Dutch driver Bente Boer.
Boer is set for an eagerly awaited comeback after making her debut in the all electric touring car championship with a one-off outing at Nürburgring in 2023.
Since 2022, Boer has built an impressive résumé in the Dutch MaX5 Cup, first by finishing third in the rookie championship. Her real breakthrough came in 2024, when she finished third overall – this time as the only woman among 60 drivers in the highly competitive series.
– I’m really looking forward to returning to NXT Gen Cup this weekend. My debut at the Nürburgring in 2023 definitely left me wanting more. It’s great to be working with the entire NXT Gen team again. My goal this weekend is to be the fastest female driver on the grid,” said Boer.
– Bente did a great job during the Nürburgring race weekend in 2023. Since then, we’ve been in regular contact to explore opportunities for her to return, said Fredrik Lestrup, Series Manager of NXT Gen Cup. We are delighted to have her back with us. She is both a talented driver and a fantastic ambassador for our championship.
Boer’s return further strengthens NXT Gen Cup’s tradition of female representation on the grid.
– Having another female driver of Bente’s caliber is a big plus, not just for our championship but for international racing as a whole. We are excited to see her competing at the sharp end of a very competitive field, Lestrup added.
The NXT Gen Cup season finale will run alongside the DTM at Sachsenring and features a packed schedule of four sprint races. The weekend kicks off on Friday with two test sessions, followed by qualifying and races on both Saturday and Sunday.
Qualifying sessions and races will be streamed LIVE on YouTube, complete with expert commentary and behind-the-scenes insights.
