Siri Hökfelt returns to NXT Gen Cup to chase top ten

Siri Hökfelt becomes the second so far confirmed female driver for the 2024 NXT Gen Cup season and is looking to break into the top ten this year.

"It feels great to be back! I feel ready to translate all my learnings from last year to challenge for the top ten this season," said Siri Hökfelt.

The 17-year-old Swede made her NXT Gen Cup debut last year, finishing 15th overall with an eighth place finish as her so far best race result.

The official pre-season test at Misano saw her finishing sixth fastest in one of the sessions.

"Misano was amazing to drive and we had two productive days to get back into front-wheel drive again as I've raced a lot of karting during the winter," said Siri Hökfelt.

"I'm humble ahead of the 2024 season as there will be a lot of new and amazing international tracks. But it's a challenge I'm really looking forward to and that definitely will be a great next step for my career."

Siri Hökfelt makes it two so far confirmed female drivers for the 2024 NXT Gen Cup season alongside Belgian racer Sita Vanmeert.

"Siri performed really well in her first season with us last year and it's great that she is back with us for 2024. The work of getting more female drivers, mechanics and engineers into motorsport is a key part of our push to create a more equal and inclusive motorsport future," said Fredrik Lestrup, NXT Gen Cup founder.
