Pit Venanzi to join NXT Gen Cup at Norisring

NXT Gen Cup are pleased to announce that Luxembourgian driver Pit Venanzi will join the highly competitive driver line-up for the upcoming race weekend at Norisring.

The 17-year-old began his motorsport journey in crosskart, competing in the Southwest German Autocross Association (SWASV). Since then, he has continued his development in rallying and autocross—taking part in Thierry Neuville’s Academy in 2021, followed by two seasons in the European Autocross Championship in 2022 and 2023.

In 2024, Venanzi made the transition from gravel to tarmac, competing in the DMV BMW 318ti Cup—a championship he continues to race in during 2025. This season will also mark his debut in electric racing.

“Driving in NXT Gen Cup, especially at a classic street circuit like Norisring, is a dream come true for me. This is the future of racing,” said Venanzi.

For NXT Gen Cup founder and Series Manager Fredrik Lestrup, securing Venanzi for this weekend’s races is the result of long-standing interest.

“We’ve been in contact with Pit for the past two years, and we’re very excited to finally make this happen,” said Lestrup. “He’s a highly motivated young driver, and we look forward to seeing him on track at one of the biggest DTM weekends of the year.”

The all-electric NXT Gen Cup will race alongside DTM from 4–6 July. All races will be streamed LIVE on YouTube, complete with expert commentary and in-depth insights.
